Crayons Count

The objective of Crayons Count is to put a learning kit in each Early Childhood Institute in Jamaica as well as to raise awareness about the importance of Early Childhood education and good Early Childhood practices. 
 
A basic kit is comprised of:

240 crayons, 10 books, 4 kids scissors, 4 pks of paper, 4 puppets, 4 tubs of play dough, 2 sets of blocks, 2 balls

and a complete kit of:

BASIC + 4 puzzles, 4 manipulatives, 4 sets of paints, 8 kids paint brushes,8 glue sticks 

You donate at a number of drop off points or make cash donations at accounts that have been set up for the purpose. 

On March 17, the Do Good Jamaica/Kingston Book Festival will be held at Emancipation Park from 10 a. m. to 6 p. m. You can also make drop offs for Crayons Count at this event as well. In addition volunteers are needed for the festival so if you would like to help email deika@dogoodjamaica.org.
