Bloom where you are planted and NGJ Sunday Opening this weekend

Bloom where you are planted

Blooming where you are planted is a neat concept and I have been trying to work with it. But on the other hand, all plants do not grow under the same conditions. Some need a lot of water, some only a little, some require a free draining soil, others do not, etc. So the conundrum becomes, how to possibly bloom if you find yourself in adverse conditions.  On the one hand, you could try to mitigate these negative circumstances to defy the odds and bloom or you could seek out the right conditions and plant yourself there. Personally, I am going to try the latter in 2013.

NGJ Sunday Opening

The National Gallery of Jamaica will be open this Sunday the 30th of December so go and check out the biennial if you have not done so as yet. Free tours will be offered and the gift shop will be open (get yourself what you really wanted for Christmas).

Bye bye 2012, hello 2013!

To all the readers of the blog over the past months, thank you for your continued support and comments. I will be trying my best next year to make the blog even better and my wish for all of you is summed up in this Apache Blessing:

“May the sun bring you new energy by day, may the moon softly restore you by night, may the rain wash away your worries, may the breeze blow new strength into your being, may you walk gently through the world and know its beauty all the days of your life.”

A Happy and Prosperous 2013 to everyone!
