Mr & Mrs Blacke

I went to see the play Mr & Mrs Blacke last weekend. I am not sure if it is still showing as it said closing soon. Mr & Mrs Blacke is a world away from the satirical revues and comedies that have become the staple of the theatre scene. It tells the story of a dysfunctional couple on one evening of their lives. Just in case it is still showing I do not want to include any spoilers, but it is an evening that changes both their lives.

The set and props are great as well as the sound effects. It is a well executed production and if there is still the chance to see it you should. An Eight Seven Six production it is written by Keiran King  who also plays Mr. Black and directed by Paul Issa.  Mrs Blacke  is played by Keisha Patterson.

In Cocktails with Leonie Forbes in the Sunday Observer today, she actually mentions the play so you can give that a read as well.
